  Now they using media to tell us that we were wrong about the foreign labour issues.

   

  Instead of "selective quota" on foreign labour, they put a quota on the total foreign labour, thereby causing a labour crunch in those industry shun by Singaporeans.

   

  They bring in more foreign labour to reduce "downward wage stickiness" (meaning workers are willing to take a job for way much less salary than is normal, else your job will be taken by a foreign labour).

   

  It makes no sense low-balling third world countries, their cost structure is lower, you can never beat them at this game.

  Good to see you back.

  ya ..... they will do anything to remain in power.   many third world foreigners working here don't want become citizens.   They said costs of living in sg is too high.   They just come and go.   

  Now they have stepped up on their freak control on online access.  They just closed down a newly launched alternative website www.straitstimesreview.com.

  Won't revert to 3%.  Next increase is 9%.out in the system already.
