Next president, who should you vote for?

  Would you support Mr Chiam See Tong, Mr George Yeo and Mr Yam Ah Mee to run for the next president elections? It is a pity that Mr Chiam See Tong lost both Potong Pasir SMC and Bishan/Toa Payoh GRC in this election and have to be forced out of politics. He has been a loyal fighter for Potong Pasir residents and a voice for Singaporeans for the past 20 odd years. Despite being an opposition, he has gained respect from many Singaporeans due to his humbleness and strong will to fight. It is a pity that PAP had to sacrifice George Yeo for their GRC system. However he is still one of the better ministers in PAP for so many years, and his past contributions should be looked upon. He is a humble man despite his PAP roots. And how about Mr Yam Ah Mee? He has caused quite a stir in many online social media and seems that many Singaporeans like him as well. I don't know much about his past contributions but probably he can be a good choice if we want someone out of the political arena to be impartial. Who do you think is the best one?

  If I'm still able to remember, Yam Ah Mee & George Yeo were both SAFOS scholars in the early 1970s. I think e former was 'senior' by 1 or 2 yrs

  there is an equal rotation of race for presidency....which is the next race? Once this is answered....then you can narrow down to the obvious...

  I recommend TPL take the job of our president, since its not really vital to our country's image. Can save the money on having a state funeral too.

  TPL should be the next foreign minister since she can OoooOoooo very well and her PR must be good that she can just walk in behind GCT and straightaway $15k salary with a MP title.

  Beside , the best reply for a foreign minister is " I dunno what to say " ....best diplomatic answer.

  I say we would just abolish the useless bum position of presidency. why pay a bum millions to live in luxury while we ordinary singaporeans slog to pay for his countless luxuries. wtf ppl, wake up. why pay ur salaries away to a president who will do nothing for singapore? lols =_+

  president has not much power. President is just a highest rank for a diplomat.

  So far, in the opposition, only Tan Kin Lian meets all the statutory requirements of a presidential candidate. Even Chen Show Mao does not meet all the requirements ie he has not lived in Singapore for the past 10 years.
