With the daring decision of Mr. Low Thia Kiang to challenge ALjunied GRC, what would be the fate of Hougang SMC? Would Desmond Choo of PAP yanked it away from WP after 20 years? BTW, anyone from Hougang SMC who have seen this Desmond Choo? How is he like and what are his chances?
Chances are, hougang and potong pasir will go back to PAP, in the meantime, aljunied will not.
Hougang is a mainly a Teochew area.
Lost smc and get grc is a choice opp make.
This time round, either make it or dead!
Tomorrow late night, will either turn out to be a very good day, or a very bad day.
Rednano, how would the dialect composition of hougang affect the voting results? care to explain further on the teochew part?
Tomorrow will know who wins Hougang,Potong Pasir,Bishan-TPY,Tampines,Aljunied and the shocking results in AMK GRC. :D
AMK GRC will have results, but since James Gomez ain't in it, I ain't gonna give a shit about it.
Aljunied might be the hottest, and I'm in it, but my eyes are on tampines.
I will see my own GRC,opposition held seats ,Aljunied,Bishan-TPY.
my guess says WP wins hougang, PAP wins aljunied by an extremely small margin.
oh well.. thankfully opposition parties are cushioned by the ncmp stunt. albeit the downgrade to 2nd class mp, at least we'll still be seeing mr low in parliament.
Singapore mainstream media shut off most talks and comments on hougang and potong pasir with a bid to win them back.

imo traditional media will do what they've been doing for the past 5 decades in sg with few effects on the outcome of votes. baby boomers will still vote for whom they trust.
opposition garners more votes this year due to increase in number of gen y voters, their accessibility to the www and higher level of socio political awareness.
