Portable Toilets

Just started this topic regarding anything that's related to portable toilets...

nice one...but who will maintain them???the costs incurred with the maintainance...........and the smell if any occuring around the area.......??

If I'm not wrong, portable toilets are maintained by the portable toilets renting biz (Porta Pumper for example), as for costs, it should be inclusive when one rents them & whereas for the smell, some portable toilet companies do have someone on site to maintain the toilets if the event is going to be a long oneOriginally posted by gohkatkat:nice one...but who will maintain them???the costs incurred with the maintainance...........and the smell if any occuring around the area.......?? -
One question. Do you think there is enough toilet in Singapore?
Sometimes when i walk around a neighbourhood.... and i need to answer the call of nature... i cant find any toilet anywhere. When i was a kid... i remembered there are toilets at the void decks of certain blocks...

just a note.....i tot the topic title was referring to portable toilets on SMRT trains.....oh my god........what a mistake i made....anyway
about portable toilets.....we should perhaps adopt some of the toilets that japan have.....their toilets are self sufficient and self cleaning......that makes it user friendly and neat..........
the floors and the toilet seats are cleaned everytime the visitor visits the loo........neat one....too bad we still don't have such things in singapore......
it could probably save on manpower costs and perhaps give the older folks a break from having to clean the toilets every time........ -
I too agree that there's not enough toilets in S'pore but come to think of it, if there were more toilets then more dirty (unless users who are those considerate types) which will lead to more cleaners to clear up the "messy" jobs left behind by those inconsiderate users which I really pity the cleaners who maintain the toilets in a useable state everydayOriginally posted by mhcampboy:One question. Well, no offense. but if we could hire foreign workers to sweep and clean our estate, i think we can hire them as toilet cleaners too. Now portable toilets can only been seen at selected events or at construction sites...my fav portable toilet company is Porta Pumper

Hi gorby107, moderator of the Singapore Toilets forum. I hope my thread would not be closed down coz I saw the other thread Mobile Toilets have been closed...Anyway, just wondering if you need anymore moderators as I'm keen to help out here

NDP 2006 logistics will involve 60 mobile toilets being located from Kallang MRT all the way to the National Stadium. Hmm, wonder which company will get the contract for that
