How much to compensate hirer for not driving?

  Hi,

  Is there any standard market rate in terms of compensating hirer for not driving and vice versa for super reliefing for 12hrs?

  Currently paying $50 for 12hrs shift. Comfort Sonanta.

  My friend told me it's 50% of the rental but I would just like to make sure. Didn't want to short change my hirer. Thanks.

  This is between you and the hirer, there is no rule governing it. Industrial practice is, if last minutes said cannot drive, like 1 or 3 days, need to compensate 1/2 rental price. But if informed 1 week or more earlier, no penalty, as hirer is well aware. However, it is just a practice, depending on the relationship, like me and my hirer, we got no issue over all this, because he helps me to cover, if he goes holidays or hospital, I cover for him, ar ka liao one, but becareful, good relationship must cherish, one wrong move only, can become enemy.

  Good relationship can last for years, but it just take one incident to damage it, Just like Singapodah and Chinapundai.

  Today ah neh neighbor said her pandan leaves kenna plugged, she suspect the last house old retired man, I also agreed with her and keep nodding and swaying my head like an indian...and replied...ah...ma....ah ...ma...in tamil meaing, yes, yes, correct

  I ever placed pandanleaf inside fridge and microwave. Don't seem to be too effective.
