How to help my junior college classmate?

  Let's call her Karin.....She was arrested in Vietnam this year on charges for overstaying cos she did not see the expiry date of her visa clearly cos she wanted to spend a year in a temple to train as a nun and secretly trying to bring a rare mini Buddhist figurine out of the country.

  Was told she will face maximum 3 years for overstaying and 12 years for trying to bring the rare Buddhist mini figurine out of Vietnam.

   

  So how can I help her?How is the jail there like?
