NISMOS!! I have got good advice for you, this is what you must do, it will HELP U as it helps everyone know the truth, plus you can also preach to them. Go and find this book "The Holy Blood and The Holy Grail", read it and preach and ask them the same questions they ask in the book.

me attended few xmas party my fren's house...go there...so many ppl..all christian..then sit in 1 circle...first play games know each other..then singing....singing still mus hands hold hands..sia..heng beside me is girl..if nt i chop off his hands...nt used to hold stranger's hands... bt they all v frenly...bt when playin game..i was appt the group leader and have to form a christian phrase...then first ting i react was..."erm I am buddhist leh..."(hw i noe those christian phrase?) in the end my grp members do then gt 1st prize then i take prize..the prize is aso those bible ting...notebk god..jesus...stuff...i bring home give my mum scold
then i give the gifts to my christian frens lor...
then after playin games...someone will tok & tell story...i find it boring..so i yawn..bt i respect him i dn wan to show it...so i keep covering my mouth n nod my head...
then later sudenly i was shocked..i noticed the rest also like v bored...most of them are sleeping...so i ask my fren siting nex to me...she aso buddhist...then i ask "ehh u see them aso bored...Y they dare to slp openly?" then my fren whispered to me "they are PREACHING.." i was like....... sibei pai seh..realised i so suan ku sia...
..then later i think if i look at them close eyes abit funy so i aso look down close my eyes.....bt i was doing sms to my friend....with my hp on my lap...then the man was tokin tokin then shouted "dn look left or right, dn b a busy body".....then all the ppl all look down....for half hr........kanina my head n neck wana break.....almost slp...heng gt my hp accompany me...i noe i v bad...bt i respect them ..cant ask me to preach mah....wait i say a mi tou fu meh....then goin to finish liao..the man say who needs help wat he will pray for tat person personally....
i was tinkin so power meh do wat ting sit ther pray can liao meh? bt i dn bother ...
then after the party..actualy wana go liao cos meeting fren..bt my fren ask me stay n eat.......i think christian they realy can cook..the food all damn nice...then eating tat time...gt a lady n a guy come n sit together wit me...i was siting alone there cos i wana quickly eat liao then ...nt enuff time..nv expect so long... then the 2 of them sit in front of me..tok to me abt god...jesus...wat story..wana physco me to be their member....i was eating...nv realy listen..even if listen i aso dono wat they tokin....mayb my ang mo too poor...then i jus smile smile n eat ...then finish liao...even though raining..i aso wana get out of tat house as soon as possible......jus feel weird...nt used to it.............no offence pls to christian here.. -

but given a choice, i would not even consider working in christian environment.......colleagues are fine.......not the organisation...... -

A colleague fell and his leg was bleeding. Another colleague who is a Christian came by and had a look. Others were looking for First Aid kit and stuff.
Then this Christian colleague said to the rest, "Don't worry don't worry. Now I pray over him and he'll be fine." -

at the child care centre where i was working....one day one of the kids had swollen eyes.....due to allergy to eggs....we were all trying to pacify him, contact his parents and all and this christian oni can keep saying oh i neber pray this morning....mus be bcos i no pray then this happened....yada yada......give the bery gulity face.......
while eberyone else was trying to get hold of the situation....comforting the poor boy and taking care of other children........ she jus there saying she neber pray neber pray neber pray........

one of my ex-colleague oso very jia lat... our company sent her to overseas office for a few times, so she accumulated a lot air times... so in the end she got a free air ticket.. she din even think of thanking the company for it, but she thank god for it.. dat she got the ticket, macam fall frm sky... other small things like if sunny, thank god, raining, thank god, she fall down, must be god's will, etc... *hands up*
another ex-colleague is still a new christian.. so one of our fren's dad died (not a christian altho his son is), and we were discussing abt his funeral n all lah, she can actually ask me, how come they (the family) can allow him (the dead man) to burn in eternal hell? i was like...

when i was in one of the christian JCs, during orientation, one of my classmates sprained her leg...
we ran to the councillor rm to get help, since we were near it, but the moment my friend burst in n yelled "hey we need..." the councillors all turn around and "SHHHHHHH!!!!!" becos they were having prayer time. wahahaha....
then he tried again and got shushed again... so by then i was standing outsidebecoming dulan, so i burst in and screamed "DISLOCATION!!!! SOMEBODY DISLOCATED HER KNEE!!!!!!!!"
then the councillors all jumped up. wahahaha.... still can see my fren's "diao" face when they shushed him...

In my secondary, I had a gal friend who is a passionate christian, and she did once made me sit down in the canteen, and reading with her on The Daily Bread. Well, after that I told her I am not prepared to accept Christ in my life, but she was understanding, and we still remain friends.
In my JC, I had a gal friend who is passionate about Christianity, for her Jesus is everything, but we still get along, altho her passion scares other Christians away. So left me one guy only talk with her.
For me, aiyah, passionate or not, it doesnt matter, as long as they not overbearing, like keep pestering or even saying wrong things during an emergency like the above, just make sure dont be so overbearing and in the end piss people off. But at same time, everyone here should try to communicate with everyone...its challenging to communicate with someone so different, so passionate...try it! -

overbearing... yeah some of them are haha... in my sec sch days after i experienced the infamous church, i really had a bad view of them, but later on during NS, i met this dude who was christian but really cool n funny in my camp. He really improved my image of christians because he simply did not attempt to push his religion on me, instead he did not bring religion into the equation, but simply invited me along on some outings organised by his church for interests sake. I was impressed with how his church friends did not try to turn any outings into "recruitment" sessions, and just accepted ppl for who they are. in fact they were all pretty cool people. so, from this, i guess there are christians, and there are zealots, and then there are fanatics.

no matter how sincere or good the intention maybe, the wrong way of presentation simply won't work.... like the chinese saying "good heart do bad things"....
knowledge of the bible is not sufficient tho important... wisdom is essential.... dun open up ur month and prove to the world that you are lacking grey matters between ur ears..... and being overbearring only make the non christians rather jump into hell than being in heaven with them....
just my personal views... and for those who are wondering, I'm a christian.... -
When people are alittle more warm and helpful, you would say you're frightened by their enthusiatism.
When people leave you in the lurch, you would say people are unkind and heartless.
What do you want? Make up your mind! -

i think if they want to be such hardcore believers as such that god made my day, if you pray you wont get hurt, must give your all to god tell him everything etc etc etc
i really don mind!! but please stop forcing pple to accept him! don knock on pple's dorr, drag pple to church, grab pple on the streets and force them to convert, preach pple... and dont get so defensive la.
i have friends that are like living on christianity and their church, say something wrong or against christianity and they will quote from the bible and go bersek then they wil always say god gave them life again or something.. it really doesn bother me as long as they don force pple to accept god. if pple want to be converted they will do it willingly, not because they gave in to your endless preaching.
im actually quite scared of christian, cos when they pray and sing, they like cry and all so solemn, i got freaked out by this when i was drag to church once. there was once also when those 'converters' keep pestering me on the streets, blabber about the bible for like few hours and didn want to let me go!!! i was going home after training and was so damn tired.. man that was a bad experience.

that is really scary. it is really the religious zealots that put a bad name to religions. i am a christian, but i used to hate christians. i had nothing against the teachings of God but i had alot of frustrations toward the people "practising" his teachings. they turned me off. it was until i met a christian who was different from the other overzealous christians i'd met that i began to accept God into my life. christians behaving like your colleagues will turn potential-believers away. and at the end of the day they'll have to ask themselves - is this what God wants them to do?Originally posted by tulip:I had this incident too at my ex-working place. 2 Christian girls always reading their Bible every morning and then started to preach to me or their friends over the phone until 10.30am. as a christian i still find myself being in conflict with other christians, but i told myself that what's more important is my personal walk with God, and i focus on that.
