I find myself listening to older songs more often at home than newer ones. I do listen to newer ones (of course), but I tend to stick more with older music (like Time Of My Life from Dirty Dancing or modren music which has a nostalgic/melodic feel). Newer music mostly doesn't interest me as much, with rapping and tunes that sound off to me... I wonder if I share the characteristics of an old-fashioned music sort of person. I love listening to old musical boxex, those where you turn a handle to wind up the mechanism to play music, like my mother... I wonder why I prefer older stuff, when I'm supposed to be in a modern world...
It is because the music in the past are creative and make with effort while modern music can be any trash that are just package with good marketing. Just like Jpop in the past we have excellent works like doraemon and astroboy etc, but now we have bullshit like Naruto the pang sai, it the same logic.

Ah, I do listen to Doraemon... I do like the 20th century music works mostly, though I regularly listen to a rather recent one (from 2007). But, I like this 2007 one, because of the melody... It's rare to find modern music which is as appealiong as older music. Haiz, most of my classmates listen to modern stuff, like Big Bang, Shinee and others, that's why it's strange that I listen to older music as a teen...
NOTE: I do listen to Korean music, but only until the 2000s. From the 2010s, modern music doesn't interest me so much... Only listen to a few 2010s songs, but mostly older than that...
