  whats your take on classical music?

  do you think it is necessary to know musical scores to understand it?

  do you think majority of people who like classical music are only trying to act high class?

  i appreciate classical music but gave up learning music. just hate learning about something i appreciate. no idea why :(

  I dun think ppl need to know music to appreciate it...

   

  music itself is a language... just look worldwide, we cant understand each other but we still appreciate and do music, sometimes abeight different...

   

  When u belt out happy tunes, we all clap and dance...

  i am not talking about personal preference.

  so how does one who doesnt know music tell if a pianist is good or no good?

  It’s how the pianist conveys the emotions of the song to you.

  We’re not talking about technical skills but how the pianist interprets the music and how he/she conveys it to the audience.

  You can search for the same piece of music and listen to the different styles of different pianists and you’ll understand what I mean.
