Alright, here's the deal. I bought SPIN magazine off the newsrack yesterday and in one of the pages there was this deal from emusic allowing you to so called "trial" their services and get 25 songs free of charge!
Go to www.emusic.com/spinmag and sign up and give them your credit card details and you get access to their database of music and get to choose 25 songs FREE OF CHARGE. I got 6 songs left lol...pretty cool deal.
Just be careful not to overdo the downloads because if you just overshoot by 1 song (d/l 26 songs), it will rollover to subscription and charge to your credit card.

Nope, no chinese songs. It's an english website so all you get there is more of the indie-rock and some rap stuff. Nothing too high-brow and MTV'lised on there but there is good music if you look around.
I'm not sure if debit card would work, but for me, i used mastercard. Just be REALLY careful not to overdo your downloads or it will rollover... -
