was thinking of restricting it to only original albums but since we are living in the digital age now, u may choose any albums be it u bought it, downloaded it or burned from someone else.

Bought this "Best of Cheer Chan" album in 2006 thou it was released in 2005. One of the few albums I actually did buy in 2006. Excellent selection of songs and IMO, she's a babe too.
Same cover but without the external stickers. -
i only bought 2 albums last year, Jay's Still Fantasy and Ayumi's Secret.
in terms of quality both are equally good but i'll choose Ayumi as my favourite cos her album is more valued for money. CD comes with 14 songs and a DVD of her MVs and making of videos. -
hmm quite hard to think of just one
but found that most singers' standard is dropping, esp for Mandarin songs, so i have been turning to other genre songs, ie Cantopop (altho I cannot understand any words in the lyrics )

Dun noe whether it qualify for 2006, but I prefer wu yue tian 'zhi zhu' album. All the song in this album is nice.

Speedstar, Mayday's Just My Pride album is released in 2005 , so is not counted.But I recommended every sgforummers including Fireice to buy it. especially the song , Just My Pride, sing about contentment and this is interesting. And also, a DJ make a strong comment on that song which make that song even more attractive.

Oh then you should listen to their hokkien song. I prefer their song 'gong lan' and it is more meaningful than zhi zhu. Zhi zhu is still not the best album IMO. Btw its not fair for me to choose mayday bcos I am their fan. All the critics by me will be v biased. haha. But I can say their songs is real good. -
