who like Newage?

i started my Newage music when im 12 from kitaro.
when i grow up, kiatro (yanni or enya) newage is no big deal anymore
most nice newage is from non-famous artist or group.
now i only depend on NewAge radio from winamp and WMP.
may i know any webby that intro latest NewAge like what MTV.com intro pop music?

i go for more hardcore ones.....those relli kaopeh kaobu and dunno wat they singing about tt type
kitaro is still ok
yanni suxx and i dun think u can call his works New Age......
New Age can break down to different genres like chanting, tribal, instrumental, orchestral, vocal, electric, electronic, nature sounds, etc......even crossing paths with trance and lounge.....
i have a big collection of New Age and World Music
some of them not released in singapore
partly oso bcos when i was doing modern dance we had to pick a good New Age piece.....so started to listen to anything and everything.... -

Enya is another favourite...E.R.A and enigma is nice also..Seems like japan has a lot of groups producing new age these days... -

other compilations like Voyage, Moods oso got some good songs......
if u can afford, u can go for Buddha Bar......mix New Age with lounge/chillout..... -

I have been listening to New Age since age of 7 other than Pop Hits!
Engima is still my favourite although some find these Blood-Stirring Music eerie however they seems to energise me in a way which has a regenerative effects on me.
Gregorian Chants, Medwyn Goodall, Cusco, Miedieval Babes are all really nice too. Personally i don't favour Kitaro or Enya much. Celtic Circle 1 & 2 are also quite nice, soothing Faery energy perhaps!

Well my age is not an issue here, New Age Genre of Music started even before we are born, initially there is not much but it has evolved much over the years. Music is very individual, Even if the artiste is famous it doesn't necessary that all will appreciate it. Maybe i am more drawn to Music with tinge of Mystic that are more energy feeling kinds be it dark or white...
Apart from it a side issue, do you have interest in acquiring a Limited Edition Selangor Pewter figurine of Cirque du Soleil? I do have one in my possession which i can't seem to appreciate it at all. Thanks for your reply!

I remember during Uni being introduced to Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells, by a guy whom I was exploring a relationship with. He was a new age fan... one of those uber cool kinda person. Hahhaha I tried, but couldn't really get into it then - neither the artiste nor the guy

I love New Age too! I think I started seriously listening to them way back in the late 1990's. My collection increased dramatically when Borders and HMV established themselves here. Before that, most of the CD shops here hardly stock New Age CD's beyond the typical Kitaro, Yanni and such.
The Buddha Bar series, as mentioned by FI, is really good too but a tad pricey. Hopefully the prices will drop someday. I think the local brand, EQ Music, released Exotic Moods and Exotic Moods 2 series, worth checking out. I'm not sure about Exotic Moods 2 but Exotic Moods was good.
Who's familiar with the Japanese group, Sens? Or with the Narada label? How about Bandari? Bandari recently released a new series - Oriental 1 to 4, which is pretty good if you like 'new age' / modernised chinese instrumentals.
How about the Pacific Moon label? Any fans?
