First he say he welcome any challenges, he is for democracy.
Next he says if Aljunied GRC vote for the opposition they will regret or suffer.
To say this is wrong, and shows that he is no longer the wise man he is touted to be.
Aljunied GRC will not vote for the opposition only. They will vote for both the PAP and the WP. The PAP and the WP are contestants for the GRC. One of them will win, one will lose.
If WP gets 51% and PAP 49 %, is it right to say that Aljunied voted for the opposition.
Seriously the old man is not thinking straight, he is obviously making a threat.

Which explains why the laws of the jungle, rather than votes through the ballot boxes, are so often the very foundation upon which dictatorships are toppled - just look at Tunisia and Egypt.
More importantly, rather than the Aljunied residents voting the WP having 5 years to ruminate and repent, it is those who vote for the fascists who will have a lifetime - including their future generations - to ruminate and repent.

The old man is getting senile, and talks without thinking. He forgot that all constituencies including PP, HG, and ALJ, all have PAP supporters as well. So they suffer with the rest of those choosing the opposition. Some of the visiting PAP MPs got an earful from these PAP supporters.

The old man should regret and repent for the following issues:
- Giving million dollar salary to his croonies and not delivering any results.
- Going around the world and selling his books.
- Not building a strong team for his party on leadership renewal.
- Not listening to the feedback of the people to improve Singapore.
- Refusing to retired from his position and give the PM a chance to grow up.
- Pushing all the blame on singaporeans for all major issues. (Complacent ?)
- Threatening people on who to vote and insulting the National Pledge on build a democratic society.

Haiya!!! Last election, a very very big 'stick-carrot' was put in front of the residence of Hougang and Potong Pasir. Proudly, they stood up and made their voices heard 'loud and clear'. Dunno if Aljunied will be brave enough to do the same.
