He is not exceptional or impressive as compared to other ministers.
Some ministers have an aura around them and you can see they can get things done.
Then there are some ministers whom nobody is quite sure why they are where they are.

Really "wise" of him talking like that. The more he talk, the more questionable the creditabilty of his party he served to Singaporeans.
Made one grave mistake of threatening the national security, instead of admitting his wrongdoings and quit and give way to a more capable person, he still have the face to talk nonsense here.
He should feel grateful he still hold on his Ministry of Home Affiars monister post. Just shut up and stop disgracing Singapore and Singaporeans further
