Opposition parties show their hand in hot seats

1988 was 23 years ago. not even sure if that whampoa is this whampoa. last time mountbatten had 10% private properties, today it has 60%.

I think Whampoa is still very much in tact.
The hawker centre I went when I was 5 years old, is still there.
No new flats built, just the older flats getting older and its residents there getting older...
Even the bus services remain much unchanged there, except that there used to be more Double Deckers than now. -

no whampoa residents here right? lol. The profile of that estate could be more of the elderly.

Whampoa SMC includes the area of Jalan Rajah, McNair and Towner. -
Personally I think Whampoa would be quite competitive...there would be a chance of defeating the PAP incumbent here...
Actually to guage the competitiveness of the SMC, one need only look at the number of opposition parties aiming that SMC...
This would also mean that opposition got chance in Radin Mas, Pioneer, Whampoa, Senkang West, Punggol East, Joo Chiat, etc.. with Radin Mas the strongest chance considering 4 opposition parties are eyeing it!
