Anyway, I will..... not vote for Opposition or PAP.
Go both and listen out to their offers lor. See which 1 appeal and see who understand what we suffer and support lor.
Last voting, i was at Gentings. This time, can go see see watch watch what they offer.
If you are voting for opposition just because you dislike PAP..... I can only offer you this words:
"Thank you for voting brainlessly."
Same for those who vote for PAP just because they dislike the opposition.
I meant if opposition parties come to my GRC to contest.

but from my point of view as a youngster i wouldn't mind trying the OPP for once. if no good then change back to PAP lor. jus like how the japan election went.
I remember in history lessons, Adolf Hitler won his election... and eventually there is no such thing as voting in Germany.
Vote wisely, not vote because it is fun, vote because you buey song the face of the politicians.

I being TS was sincere about having reasons. Voting for just PAP because they are PAP or voting for opposition because they are opposition doesnt sound like a reason.
It sound like a child. I do it cause I liked it. Why? I LIKE IT. Why? I LIKE IT.
I believe TS has a reason to understand the reasons. Maybe it was to collect valuable information, or to improve sharing.

Will you vote for Opposition if the guy was the guy who broke your leg, laugh at the broken legs and peed over it just being they are opposition?
Same applies for PAP supporters.
Sorry if u think my intention is hate. I vote Opp b'cos of I have enough of PAP's policies.

- FT
- Inflated HDB prices
- Multiple ERP gentries and ever rising prices that have no impact of reducing jams...
- Town council misuse of funds
- Lack of transparency
- GRC
- many many more.....
Hmmm, what are the proposed changes to deal with the problems caused by PAP from the Opposition?
Any information will be appreciated. However, I will appreciate more if you can highlight all the issues you are disgrunted with because it will help me evaluate what both the opposition and PAP offers.

First of all our opposition can do nothing and have no say any policy that PAP gov intend to introduce.
For FT, our gov spend tons of $ bringing ppl from PRC and India through EDP scholarships for post grad and undergrad programs. These people only use SG as a stepping stone and after a few years they will eventually leave for states or other developed countries. Based on my ex-company (US MNC) experience, 60% of my ex-colleagues that are FT had already moved to US, australia and europe.

Actually, I am quite sore with the scholarship program (not only PRC and India, Vietnamese and other parts of the world too).
Good point though. However, what the opposition proposed needs to be justified too.
Anyway talk so much also meaningless as eventually my ward will still be walkover again and the last time I got chance to vote I was in Australia studying and my vote was for PAP.
I never like PAP at all. But staying in Teban Garden for so many years, I have never voted for anyone but Dr Tan Ching Bock, the PAP man.
Why? Simply because I can see his sincerity in serving his people, and his warm, even way before election. As a boy, when we passed by him, he will always greeted us, the children!
If that ward is run by others, I am not so sure who I will vote.
I wish Dr Tan good health.
(Singaporean in overseas).

You only vote once in 5 years and if you vote because you're childish enough to cast in due to "dislike" rather than review what is beneficial in the future then any information is more than important.
Having quality opposition and quality government is what that can move Singapore onwards.
There are so many mistakes in the past, but it doesn't help to reinforce mistakes. We must repair the damage and make brave decisions.
If it is a slugfest of who did worse, then we are moving back into Stone Ages.
TS doing a survey for which party ?
I dunno if there is walkover again....
sianz...
PAP is making a mockery of the judiciary system in SIngapore and turning Singapore into their own farm where ordinary Singaporeans with no connections are the serf to do their bidding.
VOTE for OPPOSITION for a better future....if not at least to let the PAP stop ..take a step back and evaluate what they have done to the lives of the lesser mortals.
If WP comes AMK again, i will sure cross them out.
I should be voting for opposition.
Reasons being:
- PAP getting too complacent.
- Mass influx of foreigners, depressing our wages, resulting in lots of graduates being unable to seek employment.
- Many Singapore citizens cant get into local universities, while foreigners come in with scholarships sponsored by Singapore govt, using our taxes.
- Public transport getting too crowded, but nothing being done.
- Rising costs of living, but nothing being done to help us cope with rise in costs of living.
- HDB flats rising in value, and I may not be able to afford a HDB flat when I get married next time.
- NS. What are we defending when foreigners just come into our countries so easily and become a citizen when we serve our 2 years' of time, only to get mocked?
This elections would be more of a "tight slap" to remind the PAP that if they do not help the citizens, they would be replaced.

I rather spend more effort trying to understand all sides' proposals.
Seriously, just crossing out opposition only doesn't seem to be intelligent and seemed too effortless.
Moreover, if there is more than 1 opposition contesting the same constituency, wouldn't you want to have a stronger opposition than er, a collection of failures and let the incumbent win again?
Seriously, would you vote for an opposition that does not have a proposal? It reminds me why I will look at people's CVs before offering them the job. Just because the incumbent did bad, doesn't mean I give the job to I-only-know-how-to-blame-management. I might consider spoiling the vote.

I will vote PAP if...
1. Education for Singaporeans is free
2. Retirement age set to 55
3. Government to pay full medical and provide food coupons for aged above 70
4. Lower medical cost
5. Increase benefits for employers hiring Singaporeans over Foreigners.
However, none of these will happen....
I will vote for PAP
1) Free the media
2) Free press
3) media coverage for opp
4) Free education up to JC
5) Cut NS to 1.5 years
6) More flexible PES grading system ( alot of ppl I know do not fit the req of downgrade even their specialist recommend it)
7) Independent Election department
8) Do not gazzette political blogs like TOC
9) abolish GRCs convert all to SMCs
10) Abolish NMP ( nominated MP )
11) Reduce politician's pay
If opp pledges this I will support them also.
