I sincerely prefer more rebates and more reduction in all the bills.
Rather than give us cash hand out.
I will vote for both but ironically none of them will get my vote. haahahah.

That is only natural if you vote for Opp for the sake of your sons.

My kids, my grandkids and all my friends kids.
They told me no purpose in serving 2 yrs of ns. Wasting time on them especially life being hard to survive for their future generation. Yet they still need to serve 2 yrs. Just like going to jail for doing nothing wrong.

Upon asked by a friend to reconsider to vote for PAP, my good friend is voting for her kids. She does not want the kids to spend so much time in NS, expect length of time of service to be shortened.
NS is just one of the many concerns. Working adults and job seekers would vote against PAP for being thieves and robbbers to take away jobs..
Come to think of this ns issue, it is totally pointless to argue with the ministers or mindef about the possible further reduction to 1 year of ns serving.
They wont listen and this minister in charge of mindef should voted out and get opposition to amend and put strongly across during the parliament. If 80+ pap gangs up, it still come to a naught for the opposition party trying to fight for the reduction of ns serving.
Sigh!!!!!!
Not really happy when mentioning about 2 yrs of donkey shit ns.

NS Is now less than 2 years but still it is still long. Think 9 months should be enough. Taiwan has already shortened the length of NS>
Better vote for PAP.
If more oppo get in, what if PAP get angry and don't give us $$$ next election?
Better vote for SM Goh and his PAP team for MORE GOOD YEARS

Anyway, I will..... not vote for Opposition or PAP.
Go both and listen out to their offers lor. See which 1 appeal and see who understand what we suffer and support lor.
Last voting, i was at Gentings. This time, can go see see watch watch what they offer.
If you are voting for opposition just because you dislike PAP..... I can only offer you this words:
"Thank you for voting brainlessly."
Same for those who vote for PAP just because they dislike the opposition.
nice words! maintain neutral..go for the party which you trust! Make an informed choice. But if you choose the opposition, you will take a bigger risk as the results need not be necessarily bad. They offer good ideas but can they carry that out? Its one thing to say and one thing to do.
As for PAP, i got nothing to say. they have showed their actions through the years of governance.

when the first batch of PAP leaders and ministers started out they got any track records? NO! the future batch has the experiences as 2IC, backup and following their seniors to learn and make themselves present in the pblic eyes. hippos ever got any chance to do all this? NO! we must give them a chance to proof it. if they can't 5 yrs in time will tell if the hippos are only bullshitters only. when you know you going to die slowly, and there is a medcine that can cure you just not proven effective in studies and trial yet, will you take the 50/50 risk and go for it? i say take it and go for it!

slap the driver
I'll vote for PAP when I'm of age to do so. What I'm seeing is opposition parties are trying to gain only voters from the low-income group. They are the ones who are concerned about this rising cost of living and lost of employment opportunities. I'm sorry, if you are low-skilled and lowly-paid, you will forever be trapped in that vicious cycle unless you go for skills upgrading. No company would be willing to pay more to hire locals because foreigners are cheaper and of the same quality. Accept that fact. The argument on rising prices of HDB flats is unfounded since the usual people complaining about high prices are young couples. Are you expecting to afford a house before 35? Are you insane? And the reason why not many HDB flats have been constructed in the last 10 years is because many new condos and BTO flats have sprung up. See where the demand has shifted to? To be honest, I don't see a problem with the rising inflation costs. Don't people have money they should have saved for rainy days to pay for that incremental increase? The worst thing is SDP's robin hood style of distributing wealth. Are we communist? I'm not going to pay $2000 every month in taxes to help some lazy ass who only has primary school education. I'm sorry, people should fend for themselves. Time waits for no man and so does society.
I don't know just WTF is wrong with everyone? I have benefitted most of PAP's policies and I don't see why you haven't. Stop complaining about nothing and instead consider the many things the current government has done for you. Ask yourself, are you voting for the opposition because you trust that they will do a better job than PAP, or out of curiosity or just to get some random opposition party member into Parliament to sprout nonsense like killing the manufacturing industry that contributes around one quarter of our GDP?

You sound like you have no experience in real life. Highly skilled, professionals are out of job too. Hey, how much PAP pay you to be here ? Tell me , then I consider if I want ask them for this job.
I'm not paid by PAP or anything. I'm just stating my true and honest opinions from the point of view of those not in the lower 50th pecentile. Not every is as poor or as pathetic as everyone here who moans about PAP is! Not to boast, my household is currently at the 98th percentile (something like that) and we don't really see what's wrong with PAP. The opposition parties are just aiming their sales pitch at the low-income group. Maybe I'm unjustified with the HDB prices part, because my family and I could never be allowed to buy anything government-subsidized. But what I say about owning a home is true, we can't expect to pay off our houses by 30, right? That's ridiculous!

Yes, you don't see it because Singapore is made by PAP for the rich.
"Government subsidised"?
Then I hope the "rich" will continue to vote for the PAP so that they will win. Never vote for SDP as they will do it the robin-hood way. They even said to rob the rich to give to the poor. WTF! Instead of dishing out cold hard cash, low-skill workers should go for skills upgrading so that they will have better prospects in life and be more employable. And yes, many things are government subsidized. Look at how many grants you get when you buy a HDB flat or go to the polyclinic, look at all those merit bursary schemes for school-going kids. I don't get all that but many people do because they have a lower income. To me (call it selfish), I don't want to pay thousands in taxes every month to get my money redistributed among the poor. That's just like communism! The low-income people should instead help themselves by embracing changes and learn new things so that they can find a better job instead!

Yes, you are staying in the ivory tower. Think we are too low class to talk to elites like you. Your message though not intended is "get out of my elite uncaring face".
No, that's not what I meant. I'm not a rich snob or something! Don't get me wrong. I'm just questioning why the opposition parties are only focusing on bread-and-butter issues which aren't really there because no one is as poor as they'd imagine. No one will live on the streets or die or hunger. They are blowing up the issues! The issues are not with FTs replacing us in the workplace, it is why we are being replaced! The solution is not to stop them from coming, because they are cheap and efficient; the solution is how to make Singaporeans more employable. What the opposition parties are campaigning for is like what Malaysia is doing. A Malaysia for Malays. It's like Singapore only for Singaporeans. This doesn't work well because not every one has the capability and if we insist on hiring Singaporeans, some quality jobs will never be filled and the economy does not progress. I know people are concerned about real incomes not growing with GDP, but that's just a minority issue. Everything's been blown out of proportions to gun down PAP! How unfair.
