THREE first-term MPs in Marine Parade GRC have been asked by their team leader, Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, to prepare for the possibility of standing in a single-seat constituency at the next general election.
They are Mr Seah Kian Peng (Braddell Heights), Mr Lim Biow Chuan (Mountbatten) and Dr Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim (Kaki Bukit).

My MP!
These 3 faces I never see them even in TV news until today's straits times came out!
LOL...
it would be absurd if you didnt see your own MP.
They should be seen more on the ground and not on TV. Mr Seah Kian Peng has been on the ground and listening to feedback and taking action. Looks like he knows the fight is coming?
I see....
probably sent to some newly formed SMCs in the next election.
Later 2 GRC.... Serangoon GRC and Marine Parade GRC.

Mass reshuffling in the East i guess....
I got a feeling West side oso same... I think theres one MP now handling about 2 SMCs load.....
Pioneer is like one whole big SMC.... plus Boon Lay ward.... all handled by one MP.
And also Jurong being in 3 different GRCs sounds funny.... Hong Kah, Jurong, West Coast GRC...

GRC will still be the same at 14 but less candidates, adding more SMCs. May have more than 84 seats too.

If you read through the 3 page Straits Times article... its "almost confirmed" a high likely chance the GRC is going to break up.

Did Goh CT forgot that PAP almost lose the Bradell Heights seat to the opposition in 1991 when he was the PM? Now he want to cut it out from his GRC?
