Maybe for the coming elections, they will redraw the boundaries to have just north, south, east and west GRCs only.

Wow, lau hero's constituency stretch right up to Bt Timah, know this only when I saw tg pagar GRC banner hanging there.
Tg Pagar is so so far away from Bt Timah. Wonder why he does not include the whole of Singapore under his GRC, hahahah!

Why not he makes the whole Spore under his GRC then there is no need to vote??

Unless some serious change has happened, PM say smaller GRC are expected.
Me ah, Old Gold GRC near the Sea.
Who knows what massive GRC electoral boundary changes they will make in the elections.
If you live in Jurong, maybe they will redraw until you are under Pasir Ris GRC.
Anything can happen.

In soccer, ball is round and anything can happen but in politics, it is not round, so it wont be anything can happen.

Last time, I recall one candidate affectionately known as "slipper man" who didn't go around canvassing for votes during the elections.
Think he got a decent amount of votes though he did not win.
Let me try to google and see what I can find about him.

You still mention this wasted slipper man?
This slipper man was DPP member, who happened to be involved in the murder case (Son's PRC Wife kill dunno who and get 16 years in jail).
What happened is this father-son (So dun accuse PAP, as opposition also got father son / daughter as well), father went to many cornered fight in CCK, worse than some independents who managed to get less than 2% (Less than 500) of the votes while this son went into Kampong Glam in 1997 and earned 29.7% of the votes.
Sad to say, by 2001, this father went to MacPherson SMC and got 16.8% of the votes but his son go to Ayer Rajah (At Teban) SMC and got 12% of the votes, which happened to his (son)'s turn to lost the deposit (Lost deposit = Earned less than 12.5% of the votes)
By 2006, his son went to 10Penis with SDA and lost with 31% of the votes, his father, did not stand to become a candidate.

According to today evening chinese newspaper, the old man slipped and fall and was sent to hospital for one night.

Sorry to say many old people fall before they really say goodbye to the world.

If he can get that percentage, can graduates with enough courage, fervour and intellect come out to contest against PAP get better percentage, and win a seat?
The answer is YES!
And that is why the Govt knows this, and that is why the Govt goes all out attracting local Grads into Govt jobs, so that they will not get a chance to contest against them.
For the sake of your country, can our graduates come out and speak out for your fellow citizens? Join the opposition, or even go out and contest and speak out!
Please, Singaporeans, do something.

LOL... I think they scared they get tracked by ISD.
Anyway, the boundary commitee may be looking at this thread to see how they should draw the boundaries.
Maybe not stating where you live is better after all. Lets have surprises.
Will they really come here and check?
Anyway, not to worry about ISD tracking.
I am sure they cant be bother to track here.

I think they do. But you have to be sceptical of what you write.
Dun say things like BURN... or KILL.... or being racist.
Voicing out some concerns is ok.. but not being extremist in a way.
Agreed with you Jung.
I think the electoral boundary review commitee had already finalised the redrawn map, now they are waiting for the right time to announce it, which is usually at the last minute to let opposition be caught off guard.
CAUGHT OFF GUARD. LOL...
