Eunos no longer pretty stronghold of WP (Yes in 1980s and 90s), or else Aljunied would have been WP's GRC. (PAP says that 60%+ of the votes in Eunos & Bedok Resevoir goes to PAP while the Hougang areas --- notably "Paya Lebar" and "Aljunied - Hougang" was almost like 1 vote is to 1 vote (Opposition might get either 49% or 51% of the votes) while Serangoon (Serangoon Gardens) area is something for us to guess)
Personally, I guess that Eunos GRC was so close fight was due to inclusion of Tampines North area and not Eunos / Bedok Resevoir is opposition's stronghold, which happened that in 1991, Tampines GRC got 40% of the opposition votes.

Last time in 2001 ~ 2006 was the entire Serangoon (Except Serangoon North opposite the Hougang North which is still under Jalan Kayu, which is AMK GRC) was under Marine Parade (Serangoon area split into 3 consitutencies: Serangoon (Serangoon Gardens), Bradell Heights (Near Serangoon Interchange / NEL - CCL MRT station), Jalan Kayu excluding "Serangoon" along Upper Serangoon Road areas.)
Now, only Braddell Heights still under Marine Parade GRC, which is pretty weird as well. But it is "an improvement" mah.....

So that there is no turf war.
Politics is about people, not turf.
Imagine if a secret instruction goes out to all political parties members/supoporters to purchase a home in a particular constituency. If successful, LTK can get 100% of the votes in Hougang, when every WP member or supporter move to Hougang.

Dream on. Dont forget there is something called GRO / RC thing. If such instruction is a success, then at most LTK can get 99% of the votes.
