Want my vote, then walk more often around their grc ward.Talk and make more friends. They are your voters.
If they dont want to (GE then come and shake hand with the pple), then the mps can kiss goodbye with their votes.

Perhaps in a GRC they expect the others to do the job for them. Just like the story of the monk. One monk 2 pail of water, Two monk 1 pail, three monk no water as they taiji one another.

Seriously the GRC system is a flaw that must be corrected.
At least when there is no GRC then, I still get to see my mp around.

ok next step..... all the 5 or 6 of them will announce that they will donate all their allowance as MP to a fund that will be used to help the poor in that GRC.... e.g. 10K per mth each.. that mean 10K x 6 x 12 = 720K per year....if average financial assistance to be given 300.... that mean can support at least 200 ppl every yr.... plus ask others to donate to this fund .... then can really ppl help ppl already.. dun need to wait for PAP..... good idea bo??

I'm a Bishan resident.No voting eversince moved in in the 90s.Life is so boring in Bishan.Always see MPs faces in the magazines only,it's so difficult to see the real person after the election rallies.
And I don't even could remember who are the MPs in BishanToaPayoh.I believe the MPs or Ministers we see in the election rallies were of two different persons.The person we see at the rallies were warm ever so helpful and seem caring but the MPs we meet at the meet-the people sessions were different characters.Every help we asked for-cannot help governement policy.
Hope that Mr Chiam will be brave and kind enough to contest this GRC of BishanToaPayoh and bring out the "Live Sparks" and "Fireworks" to the residents of BishanToaPayoh.We have enough of WKS and company.
Bishan is run by a non-Chinese MP.How do a non-Chinese can clearly,truly and sincerely understand the feelings of the majority Chinese?
