Confirm NSP on Jurong GRC?
Wow! I welcome NSP for Jurong GRC. Thank them for the visit to my house. Just sign up as member not long ago during their visit. I looking forward that more residents will join them too.
something is wrong w/ e heading
Election could be held in Jan 2012
Wah lau, many complain opp only appear near election. Tis show tat is not true at all. Good to see them working early.
mgn to speck to one of their potential candidate Elvin during their visit some time ago. mgn to exchange views rgd foreign talent & employment. Will gv them my support if my constituency it contested.
I wonder why the opposition are revealing where they will stand in the coming elections.
Good move or bad move?
To enhance their profile and give notice to residents or trying to confuse the incumbent party by doing last minute switches later on?

i think it's good... so they can start working there asap... let the ppl there know what is coming.... and see how PAP react.... maybe PAP will announce who and where they will stand... then last minutes the opposition switch their line up too.. learn from PAP...

I can just imagine all the last minute switches when they announce their candidates.
Would be very interesting to see who stands at which GRC.

but if there is enough opposition out there then no matter how their switch they will face someone..... then we wont have walkover all over sg already...... they can run but they can't hide!!!!
I think the main events will be GRC battles between opposition and those ministers who made the biggest boo boos in the past few years.
I think at least 4 or 5 GRCs could be contested.

National Solidarity Party conducts its Ordinary Party Congress today. (http://www.nsp.sg/articles.php?more=111)
Mr Goh Meng Seng and Ms Lee Wai Leng, both of them previously from the Workers' Party, are elected into the Central Executive Council as Secretary-General and Appointed Council Member respectively.
Under the Workers' Party, Mr Goh Meng Seng in the 5-members team contested Aljunied GRC in the 2006 election winning 43.9% votes, while Ms Lee Wai Leng in the 6-members team contested Ang Mo Kio GRC winning 33.9% votes.
They are likely to contest in Tampines GRC against National Development Minister Mr Mah Bow Tan in the coming election.
The party believes that the general election will most probably be held between June and December this year.

If you ask those people in various GRCs who their MPs are, likely a lot of them will not be able to name more than 2.
After all, you only get to see your MP during the 2 weeks around election time.
nsp stands for "not solid party".

That will be a advantage for the nsp.
If the town council still acting like that and most of the reseident living there are same as you, then, nsp might, might stand a good chance.
Not jurong town council, other areas also like that.
