Cheap =/= Corrupted Strategy

U all know lah.. our government always say we must pay high high so that this MP will not be corrupted...... while trying my best not to say they are corrupted even with high high pay.... i wan to say it that low low pay dun always equal to corruption too....
so... the strategy is to find some kind hearted professional, lawyers, doctors, accountants to come out and say they are willing to serve as MP FOC.....they are already professional having their own law firm, GP or audit firm.. so all they need to give abit of their free time to the nation... i think it's possible right?
why must be professional?? cos no choice lah.. in sg if u are not u are deemed to be ah beng or no standard so can never be MP....but nvm... if thise professional are elected and the current government gets lesser vote they slowly this will come.. maybe in future even a taxi driver, hawker and production worker can by MP too.. as long as they love their country..
why must they serve FOC?? it's to tell everyone that cheap =/= corrupted, cheap =/= non professional, this group can donate all the allowance as MP to charity or form some new charity that really serve the poor..... that willl give all the current MP something to think about....maybe they will be paiseh to take anymore allowance in future too.. or donate it to charity too.... so there's some long term effect.... and even if this group of FOC professional never get elected... we can try it every time.... at least government will have 1 less reason to increase their salary...... we already show them that there's alot of good professional that are willing to serve for free if given a chance we dun need those that serve the nation for money....
how? what u guys think?? free to brainstorm and discuss to close down any loophole in this strategy so we can have a better one...

from the people's point of view, it's the government's way to "legitimately" siphon money out of the Singapore treasury.
also, few people would would for free. however, i do feel that the ministers in Singapore are being paid way too bloody high.

but it's the ppl that make the government legitimate and if they are too overpaid why no one doing anything to stop them leh? -

I believe there are people out there who will serve foc but they are just a handful.
The ruling party has made it such that only highly educated people are in better position to serve which I think is nonsense. We do not need to look far, just look at Taiwan, there are people who are not highly educated yet they serve.
The ruling party has in their own selfish and brainwashing ways put in place misconceptions of many stuff. Hope more and more people will wake up and be able to tell.

YOu are right, bingo. That is what I always believe - serve with the heart. The prob with the currently ruling party is they are not doing so. Money is one of their main motivators.
Serve with a heart - reminds me of the late beloved President Ong Teng Cheong.

too much power leads to corruption.( means too little people in making key decisions)
also... too much cooks, spoil the soup. ( too many people giving suggestions/making decisions)
