Why do people like to blog?

Different people blog about different things. some blog about their interests e.g food, cars. i'm talking about those who blog their thoughts and their life, why do they want others to know their thoughts by telling others to go read their blogs? do they want others to know how mature they are when they are not mature at all?
i do know of some people who lie in their blogs about who they really are in life. they lie about their qualifications, about what they are doing, living in their own world i think.
from another point of view, why do people want to go their blogs? do you take everything written in the blog to be the truth without questioning and try to understand the person through interaction?

its somewat like a diary whereby if one feels sad for example may just express his/her sorrows via blogging..

other ppl use it as a platform to launch personal verbal attacks against their victims

Some would delete their post after a while when they notice it was too sensitive and will say smtg like 'guess i don't see the need to blablabla'. Like wth. Those are probably bloggers who are thinking that they are typing on an online dairy.
And some who EARLIER claim, 'im not those kind who would post about my daily life'. Would eventually still do so...

Honestly i'm a blogger who blogs about my own life and express myself about what i'm thinking. Yes. My blog has brought lots of troubles for myself. The reason's simple,some ppl in the cyberworld,are just not happy with how i THINK. and so they decided to correct me by spamming my chatbox blah blah blah. Some ppl just wan me to think in the way on how they think.
personally,i think that a blog is just something for u to read and not comment on. Yes,the person might be wrong if he's using his blog to make fun of someone or doing some other childish stuff like spreading a lame rumour around.
But sometimes,when a blogger's blogging,he would most likely blog about what he is thinking at that point of time about certain stuff that went thru his life. He might wanna express his thoughts about them and share it with others in the cyberworld. Sometimes,certain stuff are not easy to express it out when u meet people face to face. Sometimes,u cant even find the right person to express your thoughts. and blogs are what they turn into. Thinking deeper if u dunno what i mean.
those troubles that i went thru becoz of blogging did not stop me from blogging. i believe everyone has their own rights to blog their thoughts and their daily life.

I blog cos I want my friends whom I no longer to keep in touch to know what I'm doing. That's the most convenient way of keeping in contact without actually meeting up.

it lets you think back of the good times and the bad times.. and you learn from it too...
helps you to reflect upon yourself..
this can be healthy or unhealthy depending on the case..

To look at pretty girlssss in the peektures......Why don't you ask the people who spend hours reading and commenting on the ehem, 'popular' blogs run by 'full-time bloggers'? Notwithstanding the shallow content, endless bitching and ranting, their blogs do have sufficient eye candy for many to even visit the sites.

no offense taken. i understand that some people blog because they want express themselves but some people are just living in their own world by blogging about the world they want to live in.
