i always go to, the chinese seafood restaurant oppesite Haw Par Villa (beside the restaurent is a Korean BBQ).
if its downstairs type, i allways go to the 900+ Jurong West there. Beside de CC.

my first crab restaurant was long beach marina,we went there quite regularly, smth like twice/trice a month but we stop patronising the restaurant when the whole gang of service staff/kitchen staff left in 2000 or so.

Kelong. Just catch from the sea and straight into the pot infront of u.

Fresh alaskan crabs, pick from the tank, throw into a big clear plastic bag and put on the steamer.
Crabs are still alive, and never washed.
YOu need to go there with old newspaper, so can spread the newspaper onto the stone tables and chairs at the waterside, eat, and wrapped up the carcass with the newspaperto throw into any public trash bins.

the food taste not the same anymore.
I last ate chilli crab at a zi char hawker stall at Old Airport Road Hawker Centre.
Another time eat Cheese crab was at Orang Asli Place on those kelongs just near to Gelah Petah Malaysia. Thats near to the 2nd link.

Joo Chiat one is unless you wanna go at 4pm to queue :x
By 7pm the crabs all sold out liao. Their Black Pepper Crab is nicer than the Chilli one to me
