i was just thinking how many people know how to jump start the car batteries. just now my fren's lorry car battery died off because he forget to close the headlights. the battery was running for 7 hours i think.
we try to ask for help from the surrounding car owners. none of them know how to jumpstart a car so in the end we has to called an expert and pay 30 dollars for the service. but i guess it gd to learn how to jump start the car battery right because you never know when you need to do it especially for those who own a car right?
on hindsight, my fren now know the importance of learning how to jump start the car battery. but anyway it's a blessing in disguise for me because my fren send mi home from amk to jurong because the car needs charging.
i donno
but i will learn it next year
i dont know... and if remove car key w/o switching off headlights will have an irritating beep sound one.
dun think anyone in the rite mind will have a jump cable in their car boots

yep you can push to jump start a car but I think it only works for manual transmission -- auto transmission car is probably out of luck
haven't driven a stick shift for a decade but roughly from memory:
put car in 2nd gear, step on the clutch, have the car pushed by someoneor let it go down a slope. when it picks up some speed, let go of the cluch and turn the key to start the engine ...

Cool! But, too bad it's missing a credit card terminal and a printer for you to print a receipt for those you serviced ...

Your steps of jump starting are all correct except the ignition key must be turned on before you start pushing the car.
i've always jump start my own car since the first time i drove. just follow the instructions lor.. connect the wire and let it run..

no leh. dun haf leh else will have notice.
actually got one uncle very nice, try to help us jumpstart, can see the spark but cannot work. so weird. so in the end no choice lo.
I remember doing a jump start on my boyfriend's car with his brother's car using the cable. In the end both cars cannot start anymore, professional help was called and the uncle said we need a higher voltage battery to jump start a normal car if not both batteries will be drained.

btw, i meant those jump start cable, those tat u can buy for $15+ in most pertol station. Not the jump start kit like urs....
Oh u can jump start a car if itis manual. else just contect both car battery together, turn on the engine of the other car and start recharging both car batteries.... it take ages 9ard 15min) b4 u can restart the car again.
you need battery cables and a spare battery to jump start

i think no need spare battery ba. can ask other car owners to help?
No need spare battery - what you need is the helper car owner battery should be connected to the flat battery car with a set of jumper start cables with negative to negative & positive to positive connections.
Once the connections are done, the helper car owner must let the engine runs, ideally should revs up the running engine for stronger electrical connectivity & effectiveness.
yep i always use 1 car to jump start the other. rev for abt 1 min...
