  next time, soak your fingers in some warm water first to soften the nail. and make sure you ball a small piece of aluminium foil and use it to rub against the teeth of the nail clipper to sharpen it.

  i always cut my nails. And I got plenty of old men collegues that does crack their nail clippers....to the point that they always come to my cubicle for my nail clippers.
