if both are you are close, can consider office mug with photo of you & her or 2009 calendar with photos of both of you or with her other colleagues.
else, maybe a desktop stationery holder (nice nice ones lor), bag for work, or something suited for her new job...
usually i only give treat to ex-colleagues lor. the most do a nice nice card (wif lotsa photos) & ask many colleagues sign.
Oh ya hor.
I forgot abt the card.
How can a gift be complete without a card?!
I always hate farewell gifts, they are very troublesome to keep and I usually throw them away. Or I give them away again at some other office.
Why is she leaving? Maternity? Studies? Migrating or really a better offer at another office?
For maternity, you could always consider some babbies bite toys, somthing to tell her jokingly to chew on it when her kids borthers her.
For studies, a simple thumbdrive may be easy enough to carry around.
Migrating/ marriage, some pashmina shawls will be good, make sure you folks take photos of you both wrapped in a pashmina shawl.
If its for another office, a starbucks coffee warmer Mug with lid is decent enough.
How much is that starbucks coffee warmer mug?
Nice or not?
Do you think getting vouchers is very boring?

They have lots, you really should go check out the starbucks outlets. You can buy coffee vouchers with the spare cash after buying a mug.
If she is a tea drinker, you can check out a tea with plunger mug from dunno 'Boudin' range mostly found at major shopping mall. Can check out Takashimaya, Robinsons or OG.
farewell need to spend until $50?
dun spoil market leh
$50 is for my nieces and nephew for christmas pressie
for my office farewell, they did a mug wif my picture in de center wif the rest of the officers surronding me. they did it for 10+
The boys are right.
I only reserve $50 for my mentors or family members.
Huh?
If give present, I believe in giving quality things, I don't believe in giving just for the sake of giving lor.
Okay lar.
Now I change my budget to $30.
Sigh.....How about changing it to $10?
Go Mustafa Centre, pick up a box of 'Enchanteur' 3/5 soap giftbox for about $8/-, then add on a ribbon and a small tag card.
