  anybody know of any shops near to the north which sell rather cheap and decent mountain bikes?
  
  my budget is around $200.. hmm.. hoping a decent 27-speed mountain bike.. =)
  
  recommendation what bike to buy?

  Any HDB estate bike shops would be able to meet your needs if you are not looking for an expensive bike.
  
  There is a bike shop at NorthLink Building in Woodlands. They sells good bikes as well as cheap bikes.

  never gone to bike shops in the west, but i heard there's quite a good one in jurong east area. U can try searching that area.

  My market here the bike shop i think is called bikers hub . Heard their prices quite cheap but haven bought anything other then a inner tube from them .

  Never see leh, in fact i don't see any bike shops that are really that nice in the west side.
  
  I remember bikers hub sold their 44t xt crank at $280 then, when mose shops sold them for at least 40-50 bucks less.
