Bally having fever and refuse to have her meals.

Bally now on anti fever medicine.. but her diet still never improve.. I am worry cos she is losing weight. She is drinking water but why her fever still didn't subside. izzit due to weather too hot?

its best that you send it to the vet to diagnose the prob..

like humans when we're sick sometimes we dun have the appetite to eat..
monitor for awhile more then see how..

Hmm yesterday i bring her over to my bf place ( fully air con) she keep eating none stop like very hungry.. see what eat what. but this morning at my home.. she stop eating again. Izzit shih tzu are more sensitive to weather?

maybe, since nowdays the weather is like so warm..
to re-confirm try bringing it to another air-con place & feed it, if its the same case then most probably its due to the weather liao..

dun anyhow feed it stuffs during this period otherwise it may do more harm than gd, what we eat/drink may not be gd for pets..
just give it the anti-fever medications, complete the course & thereafter monitor the situation..

Ok. i will just keep to simple meal, med and lot of fresh water for mei mei. Hope she will get well soon. haiz.. -

huh? home made barley water is no sugar de.. papa got diabetic so cannot drink sweet barley.. honey water i heard is good animal too.
Ppl do feed dog with barley in their meals isn't it?
i am not suggesting to feed her with human 24fav herbal tea lor.

shihtzu is just more pampered lah... weather is bad, just give her lotsa water (add a couple cube of ice if u want but not too much, it's bad for their tummy)...
if fever, it's normal they dun really eat... feed her pet milk or soak some doggy biscuits in milk for her also can...

Fever last op is gib 1/5 of panadol depends on e dog size.
Coolin tea can works jus make it diluted lor... n dun put sugar ^^

WTF? u dun feed dog panadol okie! GGcat eating grass and drinking cooling tea is TWO different thing all together...

ur 1st op should be bring dog to vet... hence u should be feeding ur dog wat the vet prescribed and not trying to 'self-medicate' ur dog with human medication... so u feed wat? panadol normal / flu / strong / menstrual?
ur dog drink the cooling tea not cos he smart enuff to know he needs it... it's cos it's different from his usual plain water! u put coke or beer thr, they'll also drink it...

The best solution is still the vet.. It's part of responsibity as an owner..

Put on top le lor 1st thing bring to vet.... Put drip~ if not alternative no vet then use tat if e condition is bad...

tare tare, mei mei playing with ice when i give her a cube.. she took the ice out of the water dish.. then play with it with her paw.. and she bark and kick the ice around.. Ice melts.. she blur blur keep looking for it. So funny.. LOL...I actually mixed some carrot and fish into her meaty meal..
