I am sorry but u're quoting out of context. Pls read the chap again. 1 Cor 8:1-2: "NOW CONCERNING THINGS OFFERED TO IDOLS: WE KNOW THAT WE ALL HAVE KNOWLEDGE. Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies. And if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know. etc..." This passage was talking abt Christians eating food offered to idols not abt end times! So Paul was telling us not to fight over such trivial matters but to LOVE one another & only love can edify or build up, & not to tear down one another over trivial matters as food offered to idols. Even Jesus said it's not the food that goes into your stomach that defiles a man, but what he says with his mouth. For from the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks & our words defile us & others.
Pls read the whole chapter yourself, w/c goes on to explain Paul's position. In fact read the whole of 1 Cor. to understand Paul's position on so many matters in the church of Corinth. Thank u. God bless you.

There is no worse time to be raptured. Any time is a good time.
Why, it's simple. I am either prepared or not prepared (the parable of the ten virgins - hey, I finally quoted a passage ).
If I am prepared, fine. If I am not, I will never be.
In any given moment, we are either sinning, or not. I cannot safely say that I do not sin 100% of the time (not because I didn't try).
If I am not sinning, it does not mean that I do not have to account for those times that I did sin.
If I am sinning, it does not mean that I have been sinning 100% of the time.
I don't walk around keeping the records of the good things or the bad things I have done, although I may reflect on some of deeds occasionally.
My reason for not contributed this thread is simply: the topic is rather (ahem) immature. Look at it from the theological standpont: If you are raptured, it means that you are right with God. If you are NOT raptured, you are in deep dung. So realistically, there is NO bad time to be rapture.
Due to the emotions the thread starter is having with me at this point in time, I would have avoided this topic totally, but out of respect for you, JTB, I gave my two cents worth, but read my para in Blue again and see if I am right. -

I agree anytime is a good time, w/c is why i changed the topic to when is the BEST time to be raptured. We look forward to the rapture with hope not dread or fear. Bcos situation here going to get worse.
Anyway who doesnt sin? I agree with u that if we arent prepared then we arent. If we r then we r prepared. So do u want to prepare or not it's up to u also right? Unless u believe in once saved forever saved w/c i really doubt sometimes bcos why five of them left outside?

The crux is the tense use in the title. If you are be raptured, you are raptured - meaning you are not left behind. If you are not raptured, you are in deep dung.
So the first question you need to be clear about is: are you or are you NOT raptured. The title clearly states that you ARE raptured.
For example: let me rephrase it to = worst time to take a shower - the question is not whether to take or not to take a shower, but the worst time to take a shower - the fact that shower is taken is fixed. So the "Rapture" part is fixed. Since the rapture part is fixed. Not rapturing is NOT the question.
I know, I know, you folks are going to say that I am dissecting again. The question is very very clear. If there is another take in the question (another angle) the question HAS TO BE rephrased.
Eg:
If the title had been:
what if you are not raptured? or
if you are unprepared when rapture happens? or
what if you are left behind?
....then the thread would have taken another path. To me the question clear enough though I still think it's a no-brainer like "what's the worst time to be saved"
I know you guys mean well and are trying to save life, but the moment the question is solely about the TIMING of the rapture and not the ACTIVITY of the rapture, the question is targeted only at Christians. Christians, having our life already saved, does not need that reminder (not too often anyway).
If you want to save life and attempt to trigger the thoughts of Non-Christian, you need to ask the right question.

What I mean is to clarify their doubts, be it christians or non-christians. If a christian's doubt is addressed, he would be wiser by your answer and with it he can clarify the same doubt to other people. If a non-christian's doubt is addressed, he would be more convinced by your answer and with it he can go on to explore new areas until he finally says to himself, it is sufficient. -
