finally, our date took place. started with me arriving at the restaurant first. after waiting for about 10 minutes, beginning to wonder if i am at the wrong location ('cos it happened the first time udon and i met.) :P
finally, sees udon walking towards the restaurant. hugz, chatted and waited for ben1406. we were tempted to place our order....kekekkee...... okay, given it's the first time for ben to be driving so much north of toronto. :)
our first dish. teochew lo sui nyap
a few pieces missing 'cos in our stomach le. :P
teochew braised duck is not complete with tofu and hard boiled eggs, right?
their version of ngor hiang....kekekeke....okay okay, it's shrimp balls lah.
this is the teochew version of siu chow. i've only ever had the taiwanese version aka toi wan siu chow. so we tot, okay, let's try the teochew version. beri different neh.
ah ben's beef teochew porridge. it's the grainy kind of porridge not the hongkong style congee.
udon and i share the minced pork with oyster teochew porridge. got ti pia in it. sedap.

LOL ! Ok, the next time we won't talk too much about toronto.
If you overcook the egg yolk till its green, better off to throw it away. It's going to be dry to the bone. And it gives off a odd smell.
oh......u guys are bad......posting stuff like this in the mids of cold weather stream.....
