Manchester City defender Micah Richards says he is determined to succeed Gary Neville as England's first-choice right-back.
Manchester United man Neville has made the right-back berth his own and there are no signs that he is ready to relinquish the role.
Richards expects Neville to get the nod for a couple more years, but is determined to push him hard and take on the role when he does retire.
"I know Gary Neville is a legend and he'll be doing it for a few years yet," said Richards.
"But hopefully when the time's right and he's ready to hang up his boots, I'll be there to take over."
Richards made his debut against Holland in November and feels he did enough to merit a call for next month's clash with Spain.
"I had my chance against Holland and thought I did enough to get a recall for next month's game against Spain," added the 18-year-old.

Yeah... Though I like to see more of Richards in action to see what potential he has. I certainly have no doubts he can be the next England no.1 choice right back.
