Barca rule out Lampard-for-Deco swap dealSpanish champions Barcelona have quashed speculation linking them with a swap deal involving playmaker Deco and Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard.
Reports in the Spanish media claim Deco could make the move to London to link up with his former boss Jose Mourinho, whom he played under at Porto, winning the UEFA Cup in 2003 and the Champions League in 2004.
They also speculate England international Lampard wanted a switch to the Nou Camp because his wife is Catalan while new Chelsea signing Michael Ballack is threatening his first-team place at Stamford Bridge.
However, Barca director of football Txiki Begiristain has poured cold water on the rumours.
'Deco hasn't asked us to leave because he is very happy here and besides, Lampard hasn't asked if he can come either,' he told the club's official website.
'We are convinced he (Deco) is happy so there's no chance of him leaving.'
