Who Will Be England's Next National Coach?

but is he good enough? -
Judging from the recent performances of Steve McLaren's club, I don't really think he is up to mark.
I feel that Sam Allardyce or Alan Curbishley could do better, but are their clubs going to release them? -

There is a debate as to which manager can succeed Sven Eriksson as the next England manager. Strangely, I do not see Paul Jewell's name there.
If there were a poll to elect his successor, my vote goes to Big Sam of Bolton.

But Walter Smith is on the mark for his native Scotland. I don't see why Eriksson's successor can't come from the British Isles (Republic of Ireland inclusive).

take a look at the roller-coaster performance of their squad and it is obvious that allardyce is the best. -
True, the Trotters' board would be silly if it allowed Allardyce to leave. However, for an EPL club with a local-born manager, it is an honour to have him earmarked as the national coach.
But then again, managing one's national football team can has been likened to drinking from a poisoned chalice at times. -

i like stuart pearce but he lacks the experience and the tactical knowledge..i say JM..though i'll dread to see him go..

According to a CBBC poll, many people feel that a fresh face should be brought in to manage the England team (Fabio Capello, anyone?). The more patriotic ones have given most of their votes to Bolton's Sam Allardyce.
