RC Kites: Making one instead of buying one

  Current retailers have only 3 designs (if I'm not wrong) for these RC Kites. But I was wondering if anyone knows what are the principles to building one so that other designs can be made.

  I suppose you are talking about IFOs?
  
  Well there is the Firefly clone that you commonly see, and usually, current IFO designs and structure are more or less the same in terms of frame arrangement and weight to engine proportion.

  So basically no one really goes about designing the IFOs?
  Really wish to get one set to see if my interest perks on it. But is there any place where you can get a used one?

  There are people who design IFOs locally.
  
  But for a 2nd hand one..that's quite hard to find.
