A semi-fictional story of the early days of Genghis Khan when he was known as Temujin, son of Yesugei.
From when he was a boy, the betrayal of his father's closest bondsman, and how through terrible suffering, a fierce determination and how he was driven to become, the Great Khan.
As a story, it is engrossing reading. However, it is not a history or factual story as is explained by the author.

Read it and couldn't leave till I finished it , meanwhile can't wait for the National Library to stock the 2nd part, the Lords of the Bow
