Jack Spratt Investigates.. The Fourth Bear - Jasper Fforde
Detective Jack Spratt with Sergeant Mary Mary are in the NCD or Nursery Crimes Division. Jack has been demoted to Missing Persons because of some scandal. He is tasked to find Henrietta "Goldy" Hachette, star reporter for The Mole.
It plunges him into the seedy underbelly of Bear Society where porridge and honey abuse is rampant.
To add to this, the psychopath Gingerbread Man has just escaped and is starting his murderous rampage all over again.
Together, Jack and Mary, with their alien colleague Ashley piece together a huge conspiracy and solve the mystery which somehow along the way include an indestructable car sold to Jack by Dorian Gray, Jack's new maniac neighbours Punch and Judy and the Three Bears.
Quite enjoyable. 3 1/2 out of 5.
