Dance Dance Dance - Haruki MurakamiA sequel of sorts to
A Wild Sheep Chase continuimg from where that book ends, with the same characters.
The narrator, after the adventures of the Sheep, attempts to return to normal life, but after years, finds himself unable to do so. He is haunted by his mysteriously vanished girlfriend with the exquisite ears. And so he plunges himself into finding her.
In his search, he finds the drab hotel they stayed at transformed into a chic and upmarket hotel. And meets up with The Sheep Man, and there is violence and murder, along with a teenaged psychic with strange dysfunctional parents.
It all comes to a head in a weird and wonderful climax which is typically original from the master storyteller who is Murakami.
