Which book freak you out?

which book has you read that kinda freak you out?
For me, it is this book titled,"Sybil". Dunno why, it just makes me feel weird until I can't even finish reading. It is about this lady who was "possesed" by 16 mutiple personalities because of her abusive past.

ahh.. Sybil... i think it's a true tale.. of of the textbook cases of the fragmentation of a person's personality in order to deal with the abuse suffered... in her case, 16 personalities... you'd have a gungho, cynical personality taking the abuse, and then when day-to-day stuff, the dominant personality takes over.. and the little girl (probably of a lost innocence) comes out once in a while...
rarely do books freak me out... actually none have.. but, there were a couple of them which were weird enough to mess with one's mind.. particularly the book, Naked Lunch, written by William S Burroughs.. to me, it was a weird genius at work... where in his drug-addled stopor, he wrote about a disturbing parallel universe in such detail...
but there is one book which contents, will probably stop most people from ever setting foot in a fast-food joint ever again.. Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser... detailing how that burger routinely kills lots of people in the US, and the misery behind getting it there... -
can I name one? 5 letters in the title. Starts with B, ends with E.

my sis bought this book
"Great Book of Murders"
got unsolved cases, crimes of passion, serial murderers.....
the description were not into detail or perpersly made gruesome, but the intention and the irrationalism behind why they did it made me shudder -

Supersize Me was inspired by that book.. in that book, it tells you how the landscape of america has been changed by the need to get that meat into the fast food joint... how feedlots and meat packing plants destroyed a lot of the US, and the misery involved in those places...
think about this: the US actually feeds grain to cattle.. and lots of other things like steroids and antibiotics... which are almost necessary in the feedlots where it resembles an animal concentration camp...
and the need for profit causes the plants to hire unskilled workers, which means that hygiene is forgotten... and basically faeces is at unsafe levels in the meat.. and e-coli and other things proliferate...
thousands are hospitalised for acute food poisoning yearly in the US, traced directly to fast-food.. not a few die from it...

it's the Bible....
the only part that will be potentially disturbing is the Book of the Apocalypse... and within it, also has a promise and a potential of the infinite...
therefore, it is not something that i would freak out over.. but within that book, likes a promise which is so great, it is overwhelming
