1st week driving. So if I daydream and forget to turn they will remind me. Also chances of 'keep the change' is almost 100%.
Yes. It's advisable to make known so that pax will be more tolerant.
It is always a good thing to receive tipping whether as a form of encouragement, sympathy , for your honesty or your service.
.
What were your thoughts after started driving for first few days?
Motivated to drive and earn more? Eager to learn? Fear? Feel like giving up?
Anyone to share their experiences?
I'm not a taxi driver, but I can help taxi drivers and customers alike, but only if they want help.

My very first trip was from Ikea Tampines to Simei Street something.
Indian family.
I told them it was my first trip as a cab driver. They were very kind and helpful and guided me all the way to the destination.
It was a good start.
Hope for the best and expect the worst and usually it wouldn't end too badly.

Not surprised. It seems like only the permitted person can spam about the companies that are allowed to be spammed on this forum.
But my offers to help ALL Taxi Drivers and Customers are censored.
No scam, no spam. Straight Talk. I encourage all Taxi Drivers and Customers to Private Message me.

You help in what way, to destroy or create?
Haha... Destroy/create... A little too airy-fairy.
I have a free app with no charges or hidden charges that allows taxi drivers and customers to find each other, among many other functionalities. It is completely private and secure due to cryptography and the rest of the IT mumbo jumbo. Not only will it help taxi drivers know where the customers are, it will help customers save on booking fee. That's the idea anyway.
All that I request from drivers is
1. Help spread the app so that more people use it, because doing so will help both the drivers and customers. Both drivers and customers may also find other features in the app useful.
2. Remind the customers to turn off the GPS function if they're using it once they board your taxi to save them the bandwidth money.
3. Taxi drivers to set your taxi status to "not vacant" once your taxi is not vacant to save you the bandwidth money.
4. Report bugs and request for improvements/features.
I'm not sure if my post will be censored for no reason yet again. If it is for "spam", then the person that censored me has spammed this forum a lot more than myself. I find it unfortunate that I am censored repeatedly for telling people that I can help them. Private Message to the one that did the censoring was not replied.

How do you feel after collecting your vehicle?
Do you feel lost and hopeless?
Are you worried abt picking up pax?
How to overcome fear?
I recalled my first day when I met my hirer, after taking over from him at the mscp, I requested him to sit beside me and drove around the neighbourhood for awhile to warm up as I was quite nervous. After I dropped him off, I started to think where should I pick my first passenger. Then first thing appear on my mind was MRT station taxi stand to queue. From the on, any area which I was in and not familiar with, I would put busy and drove around till I learn where I was.
Simi sai! Jasonlkl. go learn sweeping the road 1st! Show some balls to us and the passengers, rather than put "BUSY" and go straight to MRT station to Q. (unless there's no pax on the way!)
Best is u get your 1st customer from your CP or just outside your CP. Smile when you pick your 1st customer and ask where he / she going to. This promotes positive attitude else your whole day farked up if you get a very unlucky pax.
