  Layman GPS like google map, waze, one map, street directories or even those GPS gadgets are best only at stationary position, not moving position, like you walk, you stop, you view, then you decide, but for car, it is moving fast, way too fast for layman GPS, by the time you passed, the GPS then follow up, the lagging is about 10 seconds or worst.

  Commercial and military GPS uses different satellites, solely mend for them, not for general use like our layman GPS that just use land parabola or bukit timah tower signal, or sentosa ground satellite.

  Like airport planes and military equipment or govt security equipment and vehicle, they uses different bandwidth and satellite, can hv pin point accuracy at any given time.

  The pre warning can be once or twice before a turn. So at times can be misleading. Though it has its flaw, it really help alot.

  Of cos help lah, but not pinpoint accuracy, that is why many miss a turn here and there, some see until bang the walls, lamppost or traffic light,...best GPS....limpek brain

  Can't give full concentration on road when navigating. Like inviting accidents.

  Actually you do not need to keep looking at the GPS while driving. Just take note of which lane to turn to, keep right or left would suffice. These information will be displayed at the top of the screen or conveyed through verbal instructions.

  Just remember to turn on the volumn. (I am only talking about Waze app. Not sure about Google Map)

  Ok noted thanks! Partly becos I don't have a handphone car holder so more challenging to navigate.

  No need GPS lah, get fark a few times, everything learnt liao...Singapore also need GPS..haiz, uncle me 60 years old, no GPS also can drive song song to jurong

  Your time dont have gps. Of course no need. Now ppl all use gps. May not be 100% accurate but it is very helpful

  I use gps pax f me need to depend on gps. Taxi company no use technoloy. See wat happen. Technology is for u to use. If dont use will become obsolete like taxi company. Gps is more than telling you the route. Old man cannot understand. Not their era.

  Majority of tds dun need to use gps. I honestly feel embarrassed to use. But of cos rather kena mocked than fcuked.

  U/G driver better. Pax understands that they need to use gps so not embarrassing.

  embarrassed wat. techonology is to use not keep inside yr carboard. gps is more than giving you the route. gps give you lot more of information. it is for you to find out how it is helpful.

  Gps if to let me know how many more minutes more to reach destination. Mainly housing estate. So I can always take a new call before dropping off pax. 

  Also now a lot of pax like to use gps too. They will on their google and tell you to follow it. Somehow good cause google like to use ling route.

  Once you are inbreed with a natural Gps in yr brain, you get less stress, the more IT you have, the more stress you get in your driving, it is like adding more weight in your body, and once a line get jammed or MDT black out, all become gong kia liao, can see many quarrelling with paxs...

  Comfort x-one can sometimes bring you to hor lan..especially for condos. Always bring me to the back of the condo, then must turn one big round to come to the front gate.  nabey.

  So do u think a standalone gps is worth investing for a newbie or just use waze or google map?

  GPS is a 90s technology, out of date, first time come out, selling $1000++, today, display for $80, nobody buys...please lah, technology also must be new technology, and you jolly well know that technology move faster than your age can catch up, today waze and google map is more than enuf liao, no need also can..learn to recognize prominent objects on the road, just like eunos, see the mosque, you know where is still road, where is sim ave east, where is koon seng, where like luku, Bangka, chempala, ..all these...rambutan road liao..lols,

  When entering private property like big residential, condo, resort hotels, industries property, etc etc, dun use GPS, use the security guard, ask them the best, arbo..they very boring..ai koon ai koon

  Where got free one, still take eat yr battery and line mah..then lots of advertisement..in Singapore, you dun work also must pay one hor, even sleeping also not free..
