  Of course lah, dun tell me a kopitiam selling kopi close in the morning ar??? a seafood restaurant close at 4pm everyday ar??? a hawker selling meehoon and chee cheong fun close in the morning ar every job got it peak period one mah, not only taxi trade. Same goes to prostitutes, you stand there in the midday on a hot Monday afternoon, you think you can get good patron ar??? Like casket driving, if I tell my boss, sorry boss, I only can drive at night..he would tell me to fark off far far away to Lim Chu Kang to sleep with snake.

  Same, mandai crematorium, Kong meng shan, mount venon..or feng shui shan..all peak from 6am to 12pm, after that, slow down liao, we just do normal collection if there is any to collect.

  Attire was never an issue, as long as you are covered, main issue is the driver characters and attitudes, if attitude fark type, wear what also no use.

  The best answer is, sorry, I dunno, I am just a driver, hope you understand. As a taxi driver, be a driver, not tourism promoter or tour guides, if you give correct info, gain nothing, if you give wrong info, get farked, also for nothing, or may even tarnish the Singapore image.

  No tourist ever ask me about Spore history lah although last time, I topped the history class in my school.  lolol.. That time history is about mesopotamia, roman history.. where got Spore history.

  Red light district easy lar..just drop them at geylang.  Even numbered lorongs hor..

  Makan places just drop them at MakanSutra lah.. can get CBD fare after that.

  Some tourists ask funny questions like where is the nearest money changer.  Knn as if I know.

  Aiya, tourist you drop them where they also like...it is like when you go tour, your mood is different, everything is fun and new to you, like a new born kids, that is why people like to travel, be serve and enjoy freedom. By understand and appreciating the above statement, you can take all kind of tourists.

  First of all, you must understand the reason behind why people become taxi drivers or Phv drivers, the answer is everyone on the street think driving is an easy job, just book and pick, or pick and go, so when they cannot get a job, or get retrenched or some like my bro hammer or ex chief type, with high ego and pride, cannot withstand bossing type job, they joined this cowboy trade. Then they start to realize what is hell...that is why whenever a person, who have a decent job, mid age and wanted to quit to drive taxis, I alway ask them to hold their horse, think thrice before going to hell, for heaven can wait.

  Every job sure has its ups and downs. Majority of ppl dun love their jobs.

  That's the beauty of being a td. Not under boss supervision, dun need to worry abt can't get along well with colleagues. As for customers, even though  occasionally u get nasty ones, td just need to be more tolerant for that short moment ride.
