I m a Buddhist n i hav recently started to chant DaBeiZhou regularly since i had a dream. In this dream, I had gone to an apartment to visit a friend and at d doorway i was handed a buddhist robe. When i entered d house i cld hear pple chanting. I was nt sure if it was d Heart Sutra or d DaBeiZhou bt i m certain it is either one of them i was then led to a table where i was handed a pair of black shoes. I also saw a nun seating nearby.
When i woke up frm d dream I felt a v great sense of inner peace. I also felt v spirtually happy. On d same day i went to chant both DaBeiZhou n d Heart Sutra as i was nt sure which chant i had heard in my dream. Chanting d DaBeiZhou, i felt d same sense of inner peace n i simply felt so happy. D Heart Sutra gave me a good feeling too but it was not d same as what i felt when chanting DaBeiZhou. Since then i hav been chanting DaBeiZhou quite often.
I m nt v sure how to interpret tis dream bt perhaps d Goddess of Mercy is trying to tell me to chant more?
Yes it is very good to chant Da Bei Zhou regularly. Since you have such auspcious dreams, probably have affinity with Buddhism... try to learn more about Buddhist teachings. www.jenchen.org.sg
I think receiving Buddhist robes and black shoes means it is time for you to enter the Buddhist path and walk the path to enlightenment.
Have you taken refuge in the Triple Gems (Buddha, Dharma, Sangha)?
Hi An Eternal Now, i hav not taken refuge yet. U mentioned entering d Buddhist Path n walk d path to enlightenment. Do u mean to become a nun?
perhaps your past life had been a nun....
and the nun u saw in the dream could be you...surely u have an unspeakablle affinity with Buddhism ..
I cld nt see d nun's face. So maybe i was her in my previous life. I had always been praying to d Goddess of Mercy so i m glad to hav affinity w Buddhsim.
the point is not rather that you must be a nun.....but just telling you of your affinity past and present....
continue with your good works now as what you may have done in your past...
good luck!
Thanks fcukpap. I'll definetely b continuing w my good work in this lifetime.
no... it is not a must to become a nun in order to walk the path to enlightenment. lay persons can do this too... lay persons can also awaken.
there are dharma classes you can attend, one i frequent is this: http://humanbliss.org.sg/forum/bbs/redirect.php?tid=485&goto=lastpost#lastpost
And you can read about taking refuge here: www.jenchen.org.sg/beginnin.htm
