A group of us meet every wednesday to practice meditation, open to all religions! More information at http://sgwednesdays.com/.
Background: Thirteen years ago, three people decided to sit in silence for an hour, in an everyday Silicon Valley living room. No teachers or gurus. No set agendas or proposed beliefs either. Just one strong principle – when you change within, the world changes. And instead of closing the door, they left it open… open to all. Over the years, more than twenty thousand people walked into that living room and Wednesdays has taken off in many local communities all over the world.
Simply put, Wednesday evenings are about sharing. A typical evening flows like this…
8:00PM – An hour of collective silence; it is unguided, without any instructions or music. For first-timers, this primer on meditation may be helpful.
9:00PM – A short reading of the weekly wednesdays reading, followed by a circle of sharing of “aha” moments from everyday life.
Wednesdays in Singapore are held every week as a time to find the inner quiet and wisdom in ourselves, among the hustle bustle amidst the city.
We meet at 261 Waterloo St, #02-24 thanks to our generous venue hosts.
