Vajrakilaya is the manifestation and embodiment of the activities of all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas and possesses the power to cut through all worldly and spiritual obstacles swiftly.
This puja is a very wrathful activtiy which is traditionally performed on the final days of the last month of the year so as to destroy, cleanse and pacify all the negative forces, bad fortune, undesirable circumstances, illnesses, demonic influence, defilements and obstacles before the New Year.
On 22 January 2012 the Great Gutor Day, which is 29th day of the 12th Lunar month, the Vajrakilaya Gutor Ritual will be peformed. During the ritual, the wrathful torma is cast out accompanied by the sacred Black Hat Dance. This will pave the way for a New Year replete with positive qualities.
Through particpating in this puja, all positive circumstances such as happiness, longevity, good luck, good fortune, merit and wisdom will increase like the waxing moon. And on the path, the fruition of practice will be accomplished.
