Buddhist Spiritual Reform for prisoners (Hokkien talk)

  Just happen to browse through youtube and saw Taiwanese venerable Haitao's taking refuge and 5 precepts for prisoners (criminals) in Taiwan. Spiritual reforms (心�改造）forms one of the important relevant purpose in today's buddhism. It allows a person who has committed various evils deeds in his present life to change oneself by taking refuge in the triple gems and upholding 5 precepts, to cut off all evils and to practise doing all good, to leave the world of sufferings and to change one's own destiny towards happiness and self-liberation. Buddhism allows a person to control and change one's own destiny.

  The dharma talk is in Hokkien mixed with Mandarin (Chinese subtitle) and is really interesting. The buddhist saying 放下屠刀， 立地�佛 (put down your butchery knife, and become a buddha).

  If in any case a law offender (someone who has a criminal record)  in Singapore come across this thread on the internet, I hope he can at least take a moment in time to watch these video.
