This is an interesting post, sinweiy. I never thought there were so many athletes who are vegetarians/vegans.
I am a vegetarian myself and did not find any dietary issues so far. I suppose it is an issue to some who are not and even some may criticise others with their choice of a vege diet. Sometimes, I cannot understand why some people may even feel offended with food choices made by others. It could be a reflection of their insecurity, inferiority complex??
Actually, vegetarians are not superior beings. It's just a preferred diet and a choice made due to personal beliefs. It's a personal thing. If everyone can achieve enlightenment just by being a vegetarian, it would be easy, wouldn't it? That way, cows are all enlightened too? Too simplistic, isn't it?

Your thread here is IDLE talk. What has vegetarian atheletes/olympians got to do with Buddhism???
And Buddhism does not require one to be vegetarian!

You are skirting and trying to hide and denying you are abusing your privilege.
I ask once again: quote the rule/regulation I breached.
Also, who are you to say "if don't like it, can leave." ? I am asking who are you, not to explain!! If you can't even understand simple English, then you shouldn't be abusing your position as moderator. You can't even quote the specific rule.

What is meant by 'respect'? I interpret it to mean my postings must agree with you, your likes, aversions, fantasies, idosyncracies.
First you deleted my post which was nothing disrespectful or vulgar. Then you edited my reply to you. My reply to you was a question whch you didn't like.
So, you go about deleting and editing posts according to your likes! And you dare not admit it. Say to everyone here that my post here is DISRESPECTFUL.
yea forever cannot be "justify".
u can ask why is the thread related at first, don't have to "mock" the thread. don't know what tiger wood, what eat wood..???

hahaha, don't use other forums as excuse. Answer the questions I posed to you. If you have no valid reason, say so. Locking, deleting, editing are manifestation of lack of reasoning ability. It is just cut, chop, close! In this instance, you are avoiding. Do you intent to do this all your life?
we just mod for this section forum, the higher administrator (non-buddhist) supercede us with what she want to do.

A moderator moderates - not ban, chop, cut. If a post is vulgar, state so and give the poster a warning. Let others know what the poster has done and deserved.
In an online PUBLIC forum, the whole purpose is to allow anyone, anywhere to participate by way of contributing, exchanging, debating, agreeing, disagreeing a point, a fact, a discourse, a theory, a view, a comment, a suggestion, etc.
If you want conformity, uniformity, like-kinds, like-minded, exclusivity, same skin colour, nationality or belief - then start a PRIVATE forum and all of you can say to each other the same thing.
I find it 'immature' that I was asked if I am a Buddhist, living here or understand only English. And this from a forum whose participants should know the dhamma better than others! Buddha didn't ask if one was a Buddhist before engaging in a discourse with that person or ask where he came from before answering questions.

You've been heard, thanks for sharing your views.
It's obvious which direction you are steering this too. Soon, it will be poor me, poor 'I No Stupid', poor victim...
I have to hand it to you. You really are quite brainy. However, intellectual prowess gets you nowhere when treading the path of spirituality. You can choose to believe or disbelieve this, but just remember that you've been informed. (I'm not discussing this point with you on this thread or on any other thread. Feel free to think of me as immature or cowardly.)
And now, I'd like to get back to kneading my mala beads. I need more merit so that I may be able to constructively discuss useful Dharma information with others on the forum without having the discussions derailed by well-meaning but misguided people, who feel they have a better grip on what the Buddha did or didn't teach.
... because you know? I'm really a simple person. Before deep experiential realizations of my own, I choose to believe scripture first. Until such time I have my own insight, I may begin to separate the wheat from the chaff. With regards to figuring out who has insight and who is a fake, I go by whether those people can show me a clear map to my destination, and describe the destination. Also, I trust intuition. Yes... very far from the intellectual that you are.

No one will ask those questions if your views are not vast difference from what Buddha had taught. Besides your views are non Buddhist, you insisted that you are correct. That arouse my curiosity where you are from.
