His passing is a great loss to the local Buddhist community. He reminds me of Ven. Hong Choon（�船�法师）. They belong to the older generation Ven. The younger generation Ven. has a lot to learn from the older generation Ven. but too bad that there are only few who are still around.

Ha ha.... Worry about yourself before you worry about others. If you read the article, you will know that Ven. Long Gen was able to predict his own departure. He knew he was going to depart soon. Most of the well practice Buddhist monks, nuns and lay Buddhists are able to predict their departure. This is something that you don't see it in other religion. It is stated in the Buddhist sutra 预知时至。

In fact many of these great venerables are showing the right path of a harmonious religious teachings in all religions and secularism, so as to achieve the desire joys of 预知时至 for all. Without Buddhism, world sure entering armageddon, and living beings will continue to suffer beyond recognition :D Not claiming Buddhism is supreme but it does require the supreme understanding to decipher the true faith of all religions, secularism, and science etc, cos of its proven records such as the warmest on part of body that determine the departure of realm, and the precious stone of practitioners such as sixth zen patriarch and living beings rebirth to Pureland Amitabha.

I like to memorise bible verses and pray.
Christians songs I also always listen to like amazing grace.
