It's really difficult to conquer the fear of death when it actually happens to you especially if one is not prepared for it. But I suppose if one gets a second or third chance to "come back", it would be wise to prepare for it the next time. It's like you're really ignorant and you may not know you are ignorant about it. It's like a wake-up call.
But people do change when they are given the opportunity to redeem themselves. While others may not understand why this person has changed 360 degree and think you've suffered some brain concussion when you return. A few minutes seems like a long time. You become a different person, same body of course but just feels different when you are back, like there is something else holding you back from really switching off.
I suppose when the Lord of Death comes for certain, there will be no conditions for warding him off and it would be really pitiful if one dies without having had time to practice Dharma while alive.
